01 / SCOPE
About this policy
This policy covers the Rokarr app for Roku and the Rokarr website. Rokarr is a player that connects to a Tunarr server you choose to display its channel guide and play its streams. Rokarr does not provide a media library or require a Rokarr account.
02 / LOCAL STORAGE
What stays on your device
After a successful connection, Rokarr saves your Tunarr server address in the Roku’s app storage so you do not need to enter it each time.
Channel names, program listings, descriptions, and stream addresses are loaded into memory to display the guide and play channels. Rokarr does not create its own persistent viewing-history database or record your streams.
Connection and playback messages can appear on screen. Basic diagnostic messages, such as channel and guide-listing counts, may appear in the Roku developer console. Rokarr does not automatically send these diagnostics to the developer.
03 / CONNECTIONS
Where Rokarr connects
In Tunarr mode, Rokarr requests the channel playlist and program guide from the server address you enter. When you select a channel, the Roku player connects to the stream address supplied by that server. A stream or redirect may point to another host.
Your Tunarr server and any hosts involved in playback receive normal network information, such as the connecting device’s IP address and the requested stream. They may keep logs under their own settings and policies. Your network setup determines whether connections stay within your home network or reach an external service.
The optional, clearly labeled demo mode connects directly to a public live playback-test stream hosted by Unified Streaming. It works without your Tunarr server, requires internet access, and sends normal playback requests to that provider, which receives network information such as your IP address. Demo guide times are illustrative. Trying demo mode does not replace your saved Tunarr server address.
HTTP connections are not encrypted in transit. Use a trusted network and, where supported by your setup, HTTPS.
04 / COLLECTION & SHARING
No Rokarr tracking service
Rokarr does not include advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or an automatic crash-reporting service. The app does not send your server address, channel selections, guide, or viewing history to a developer-operated backend.
The developer does not sell or rent data collected through Rokarr. If you choose to send a support request, the developer receives the contact information and details you include and uses them to respond and troubleshoot. Those communications may be retained as needed to handle the request and maintain support records.
05 / YOUR CONTROL
Your settings, your choice
You can change your server inside Rokarr using Options (*) → Change server. A successful connection replaces the previously saved server address.
Rokarr keeps that address for future launches until it is replaced or the Roku-managed app data is cleared. The current app does not have a separate button for deleting its saved address. Contact the developer if you need help clearing the configuration. Roku controls the retention of its device storage.
You control your Tunarr server’s media, access settings, and logs. Requests concerning data held by that server or a stream provider should be directed to its operator.
06 / OTHER SERVICES
Roku and your media services
Roku operates the device platform and Streaming Store and may process information under its own privacy policy. Tunarr, your media servers, and stream providers operate independently of Rokarr and may have different privacy practices.
Rokarr is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not ask users for names, ages, or account profiles. Adults should manage the content and server access available on shared devices.
